The POCO brand is well-known for its best bang-for-buck smartphones, which is evident in their most recent GT offerings like the newly released POCO X3 GT a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC. Display
Both the POCO X3 GT and the POCO F3 GT sport large 6.6-inch screens. However, the POCO F3 GT features an AMOLED display, while the POCO X3 GT has an IPS panel. This means the former’s screen can display deeper blacks and punchy colors, while the latter offers more natural colors. When it comes to resolution, the POCO X3 GT has a slightly higher pixel density at 399ppi, while the POCO F3 GT has 395ppi. The 4ppi difference is not noticeable, so we can say it’s negligible.
Additionally, the POCO X3 GT has a Dynamic Switch for its refresh rate, which can determine what the user is doing and appropriately adjust the screen refresh rate, which can benefit in terms of battery life. For the touch sampling rate, it has a decent 240Hz. On the other hand, the POCO F3 GT also has a 120Hz refresh rate with a speedy touch sampling rate of 480Hz, which provides a more responsive experience that would benefit the users in gaming.
Lastly, the POCO X3 GT has the newest glass protection with its Gorilla Glass Victus which can survive drops of up to 2 meters, while the POCO X3 GT sits with the older Gorilla Glass 5, which can only survive drops of up to 1.2 meters. But it’s always better to keep your phone safe despite the safety features installed.

CPU and GPU
The POCO X3 GT is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 5G SoC, while its competitor is equipped with the updated MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G SoC. For GPU, both are equipped with the ARM Mali-G77. When looking at the smartphones’ AnTuTu scores on Kimovil, the POCO F3 GT scored 677,147; while the POCO X3 GT scored 677,171. The difference is negligible so we can expect the same level of performance. We’ll know more once we have reviewed the F3 GT.
RAM and Storage
The POCO X3 GT comes with 8GB of RAM. The POCO F3 GT on the other hand has options of either 6GB or 8GB of RAM; both are LPDDR4X RAM. In terms of storage, both smartphones use UFS 3.1 and have options of either 128GB or 256GB.
Cameras
Both smartphones are equipped with triple-rear cameras, sporting the same configuration with 64MP (main), 8MP (ultrawide), and 2MP (macro) lenses. They also have similar selfie shooters at 16MP. We might see the same camera performance but we’ll know once we reviewed both phones.
Connectivity & Other Features
As for connectivity, both support 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and an IR Blaster. The difference lies with the POCO X3 GT support for NFC. However, it misses out on the POCO F3 GT Maglev mechanical triggers for those who want to be competitive with their mobile games. In addition, the POCO F3 GT has IP53 certification, meaning it can withstand dust and splashes of water.
Battery
The POCO X3 GT is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery while the POCO F3 GT has a slightly larger 5,065mAh battery; so the point goes to the POCO F3 GT. In terms of charging speeds, both have a 67W fast charge. Note that each device has different battery consumption, so that will be clarified when we have both units tested.
Which one to get?
If you prefer a smartphone with a Dynamic Switch refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus, and NFC, go for the POCO X3 GT. If you’re more of a gamer, you can opt for the POCO F3 GT with its AMOLED display, 480Hz touch sampling rate, Maglev triggers, IP53 protection, and slightly higher battery capacity. We don’t have the local price yet for the POCO F3 GT, but we can expect it to be priced a bit higher than the X3 GT.
