Canon has announced to bring in the PowerShot PICK— an automated camera, to the Philippines.
The Canon PowerShot PICK is a pocket-sized, hands-free automated camera. It can analyze a scene, identify people, track their faces and then, using artificial intelligence, determine the ideal moment to capture a photo.
The PowerShot PICK uses a 1/2.3-inch 11.7MP CMOS image sensor. The sensor is paired with a 19-57mm equivalent zoom lens with a maximum aperture of F2.8. In addition, the PICK includes built-in image stabilization. The PICK pans 170° in both directions and can tilt 110°.
According to Canon, the PowerShot PICK combines Canon’s optical, video processing, and artificial intelligence technology. Besides, it is capable of taking photos and videos on its own for up to 5 hours based on a unique algorithm that takes into consideration your smiles and composition variations.
Moreover, it is also equipped with a built-in image stabilization system to suppress image blurring in photos and videos caused by shakes or movement. Users may easily use it handheld, mount it on a mini tripod, or place it on a tabletop. The device has dimensions of 56.4 x 81.9mm and weighs 170g.
Users may also connect the PowerShot PICK to their smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth using the “Connect app for Mini PTZ Cam” app.
There’s no word yet about its local pricing and availability, so stay tuned.
