The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Friday that two players are dealing with day-to-day injuries.
Defenceman Jake McCabe (upper body) and forward Calle Järnkrok (lower body) missed the team’s skate as a result.
While the nature and cause of McCabe’s injury is currently unknown, Järnkrok has been dealing with his throughout the pre-season.
However, Järnkrok did suit up for Thursday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings, which the Maple Leafs won 2-0.
Järnkrok, 33, recorded 10 goals and 11 assists in 52 games last season. McCabe, 30, had eight goals and 20 assists over 73 games.
The Maple Leafs and Red Wings will match up again on Saturday for each of their final pre-season games.
