Lenovo has just launched the Tab P11 Plus in the Philippines, packing an 11-inch IPS display, a MediaTek Helio G90T SoC, and a 7,700mAh battery for under PHP 17K. However, how does it fare against the Xiaomi Pad 5, sporting the same 11-inch IPS LCD with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC and a larger 8,720mAh battery? Let’s see in a specs comparison.

Display
Both devices come with an 11-inch display. In addition, both tablets are equipped with an IPS LCD panel, but the Xiaomi Pad 5 boasts a higher screen resolution of 2560 x 1600px. Further, it also has a smoother 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate.
CPU and GPU
The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus is powered by a MediaTek Helio G90T processor paired with ARM Mali-G76 GPU, while the Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor with Adreno 640 GPU.
Looking at the tablets’ Kimovil’s AnTuTu scores, the Xiaomi tablet outperforms its competitor at 560,000, as the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus only got 290,000. However, keep in mind that we can only determine the extent of their performance and thermals once we have both units for review.
RAM and Storage
The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus comes with 4GB of RAM, while the Xiaomi Pad 5 has 6GB.
In terms of storage, the Xiaomi Pad 5 still advances with its options of 128GB and 256GB. The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus comes with 64GB. Nonetheless, the Lenovo tablet can still expand its storage with its dedicated microSD slot. Unfortunately, there’s no microSD slot on the Xiaomi Pad 5.
Cameras
For the cameras, both tablets have a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.
Connectivity & Other Features
Both boast the same connectivity features, including WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and run on Android 11 under their custom skins. In addition, the Lenovo tablet comes with 4G LTE support, while the Xiaomi tablet is a WiFi-only tablet.
In addition, both tablets have stylus support, so you may opt to get their supported pen, which is sold separately.
For audio, both come with quad speakers and Dolby Atmos. However, for an added feature, Lenovo equips the Tab P11 Plus protection against splashes with its IP52 certification.
Battery
The Lenovo Tab P11 Plus is equipped with a 7,700mAh battery with 20W fast charging, while the Xiaomi Pad 5 comes with a larger 8,720mAh battery with a faster 33W charging support.

Which one to get?
It is evident that the Xiaomi Pad 5 outperforms the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus in terms of display, processor, RAM and storage, and battery capacity. With that said, although it costs about PHP 1K more, it is a good choice with all of its perks. It’s still a good move to choose the Lenovo Tab P11 Plus, though, especially if you prefer a tablet with expandable storage, LTE support, and an IP52 rating.
