Berube splits up Matthews, Nylander ahead of Maple Leafs’ game vs. Bruins

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has decided to make another change with his forward lines.

At morning skate in Boston, Auston Matthews and William Nylander were on different lines ahead of their game against the Bruins on Tuesday.

Matthews will centre a new-look top line with Matthew Knies and Nick Robertson on his wings, while Nylander will be reunited with John Tavares and Bobby McMann.

The shuffle marks another tweak by Berube, who has thrown his forward lines in a blender a few times this season.

It should also help balance Toronto’s attack, with Berube spreading out scoring threats across two lines and with the Bruins able to dictate matchups with last change.

Anthony Stolarz is slated to start in net after getting pulled in Saturday’s loss to Boston after allowing four goals on 19 shots.
