Globe 5G roaming service now available in UAE

Globe continues to expand its 5g network globally with the launch of its outbound 5g roaming service in the United Arab Emirates. Inbound roaming services are also set to commence this month, which allows subscribers of other operators access to Globe’s 5G network and services.

With Globe’s partnership with Du Telecom in UAE, Filipinos abroad will be able to stay connected with 5G connectivity.

“We understand that traveling is challenging at the moment given the health crisis, but we recognize that there are Filipinos who still need to leave the safety of their homes to fulfill responsibilities overseas. We want to assure them of instant and seamless connectivity in countries with Globe’s 5G roaming service,” said KD Dizon, Globe’s Head of Consumer Mobile Business.

Globe roamers with 5G-powered smartphones may avail of Globe’s Roam Surf 399 (all-day for Postpaid, 1GB for Prepaid) and other Roam Surf promos with no additional charge.

As of January 2021, Globe’s 5G coverage accommodates 848 locations in Metro Manila and Rizal; plus an additional 221 areas in Visayas and Mindanao. Meanwhile, Globe is also actively working towards releasing its 5G roaming services in more key markets in Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Europe with the help of its roaming partners.
