Infinix HOT 11S Hands-on

After releasing the Infinix HOT 10S earlier this year, the Hong Kong-based brand is now bringing the Infinix HOT 11S to the Philippine market. And as expected from their HOT series of smartphones, it seems to be a new budget device with practically good upgrades. We finally got our hands on one so let’s check it out.

The Infinix HOT 11S gives a glossy all-plastic curved body, with a unique wavy pattern that gives a gradient illusion when viewing the phone from different angles. From afar, it can be mistaken with a glass build. What we have here is in the Polar Black color, but it also comes in either Green Wave or 7-degree Purple.

It looks classy, but note, that it is such a smudge magnet so we highly recommend putting a case on. Visibly at the back, the HOT 11S packs a protruding oblong-shaped camera module that houses its triple rear cameras and quad-LED flash. Also found at the back are its fingerprint scanner and a simple Infinix logo.

Situated on the left side is the dual-SIM card tray with a dedicated microSD card slot, expandable up to 256GB.

While on the right are all the buttons; the volume rocker that’s adjacent to the power button. They’re positioned near the center of the frame, so they’re easy to reach despite the tall build.

There’s nothing on top but there is a slogan embedded that says “The future is now.”

Then heading over to the bottom, we get a 3.5mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB-C port, and the main loudspeaker.

Upfront, the Infinix HOT 11S sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ 90Hz IPS LCD with fairly slim bezels and a punch hole notch on the upper middle, right below the earpiece. Nicely, it has a NEG Dinorex T2X-1 glass protection, together with a pre-installed screen protector on top.

Under the hood, powering the device is a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, together with 4/6GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage, and a large 5,000mAh battery which is honestly quite a downgrade from the HOT 10S’ 6,000mAh battery. Meanwhile, running the software is Android 11 skinned with XOS 7.6.

Camera-wise, its triple camera setup at the back is composed of a high 50MP main, a 2MP depth, and an unspecified AI lens. Then for selfies, it has an 8MP front shooter. Just like usual we’ll go more in-depth in this department in our full review, but for now, take a look at a few samples photos we got:

As for the price, the Infinix HOT 11S is available in two configurations: The 4GB + 64GB variant has an SRP of PHP 6,990, while the 6GB + 128GB will be available for PHP 7,990. We’ll use it more in the next couple of days, so stay tuned for our full review.
