Canva Docs
Canva has just introduced its own document editor to help create visually compelling documents with Canva Docs.
Users will also be able to add to-do lists and have access to real-time collaboration features such as sharing comments and actions.
Users can also access Canva’s library of 100+ million design assets in creating their own personalized documents or other designs such as Presentations, Videos, Charts, or Whiteboards in one place.
Furthermore, Canva has included the ability to turn any document into fully fledged Canva Presentations with just a click of a button.
Canva Docs is launching in Beta later this year.
Canva Whiteboards
Canva has also introduced Whiteboards that give an infinite canvas for collaborating and exploring ideas.
Canva Whiteboards are made to help a whole team jump in and add thoughts for brainstorming sessions.
On top of Canva’s suite of templates and illustrations, users can also enjoy sticky notes, synced timers, diagramming and flow chart tools, name-displaying cursors, and new workshop templates to simulate real-life whiteboarding.
Canva Websites
Canva Websites allows users to turn their documents, presentations, and even PDFs into simple responsive Websites.
Canva’s Website builder also includes templates for users to access with professional-level website templates, customizable domains, and adjustable page heights.
Moreover, users can even share their web content like a press release, resume, or class assignment as a secured customized link. It also features responsive device previews where one may add or purchase a branded domain right in Canva.
Users can also keep the site private by hiding it from search engines and by adding a password. When one’s website has been published, the user may use Websites Insights to track views, clicks, and engagements.
Video Background Remover
Canva has now included the ability to remove background in videos with just one click among Pro, Teams, Education, and Nonprofit users.
On top, they’ve also added more features and customizable elements that include a soon-to-arrive feature that turns any design into a video in just a few clicks.
Remote Control for Presentations
Canva also introduced new features to Presentations, the first being remote presentation control that allows multiple presenters to control its flow using a new virtual clicker.
This eliminates the need to say “next slide” with users also being able to control it asynchronously with a recorded Talking Presentation.
Other new features in Presentations include the ability to start with their templates or import any PDF, Powerpoint, or Illustrator file to re-create the existing content in Canva.
Users can also be able to switch between a storyboard-like thumbnails view or a timeline view to help sync music, transitions, and other animations.
Canva Print
Canva Print lets you easily add your designs to items such as clothing and tote bags. Now Canva Print has added 35 new different items from business cards, uniforms, posters, hoodies, stickers, and more.
Canva Print will also automatically alert you if certain elements in your design are cut off or are low resolution.
Users can also deliver your printed designs straight to your door for free and with every print order placed, Canva plant’s a tree through their One Print, One Tree reforestation program.
Text to Image app
The new Text to Image App powered by Stable Diffusion is now in Canva and lets you create unique images from a simple description in seconds.
This helps users use their imagination and have it turned into a professional photo or 3D image without the need to actually take any photo.
Other Announcements
Canva has also announced two new marketplaces for both creators and developers.
They also expanded their Canva for Education offering beyond teachers and classrooms to entire K-12 school districts across the world with no hidden costs. Nonprofits are also now eligible for Canva for Teams for up to 50 team seats.
