Justin Gaethje is campaigning to be part of the main event at UFC White House.
When the 37-year-old lightweight fighter was asked “what’s next?” on the Pat McAfee Show Thursday, he responded “Ilia Topuria at the White House. Has to be.”
“I’ve been speaking it into existence since I fought (Rafael) Fiziev last year,” Gaethje continued. “I think we’ll be the main event.”
Gaethje is fresh off a win by unanimous decision over Paddy Pimblett in the main event at UFC 324, earning him the title of Interim UFC Lightweight Champion.
Topuria last fought on June 28, 2025, defeating Charles Oliveira to claim the vacant UFC Lightweight Championship. He has not fought since, announcing that he would sit out the first quarter of 2026 due to personal reasons.
The 29-year-old has a perfect 17-0 record in professional mixed martial arts.
