Angkas will officially resume its operations tomorrow, November 25 at 6 AM.
After months of suspension due to lockdowns, Angkas is now allowed to resume its operations in Metro Manila. The motorcycle ride-hailing platform has recently been granted a provisional authority to operate after the company completed the requirements set by the MC Taxi Technical Working Group (TWG).
As the company resumes its operation, they have also made a few adjustments to cope with the pandemic.
Check out the following safety reminders:
• Angkas will only accept payments through cashless transactions (credit/debit card).
• Passengers are required to bring their own helmets. See the helmet guide here.
• Angkas’ Passenger Shields are designed to prevent viral transmission even on a motorcycle. Passengers can hold onto the barrier straps instead of the biker’s waist and sit closely. To communicate with the biker, knock or tap on the barrier.

Moreover, Angkas bikers are regularly PCR tested. In partnership with the IATF, bikers are tested before they’re allowed to accept passengers. The app also requires bikers to submit daily temperature and sanitation checks before the start of the workday.
Angkas also reminds passengers to always wear a face mask and sanitize hands before riding.
