Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp are offline for millions of users. All three platforms have been responding with server down errors and it is still unclear why they are inaccessible to users.

Facebook has issued a statement on Twitter saying, “We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing Facebook app. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
Down Detector shows that the site is down for many users all over the globe and users aren’t able to access the apps which show “server error” messages. The problem also extends to some Oculus devices as users aren’t able to access social features and install new games. According to The Verge, the issue is likely related to a DNS issue.
