Shopee has been one of the top leading e-commerce platforms in recent years here in Southeast Asia. With that, comes the need to protect its consumers in the Philippines from increasing fraudulent activities happening in the digital space.
Therefore, Shopee has just launched Shopee Cares PH. An online community platform to help provide customer education and support. Users are also encouraged to seek help with any product inquiry or concern through Shopee Cares PH.
It was highlighted in a Consumer Pulse Survey that over half of Filipino adults have said they’ve been targeted by fraudsters. With 30-40% saying they had fallen victim to phishing scams, gift card scams, or third-party seller scams.
The goal of Shopee Cares PH is to “empower consumers with proper know-hows and tips on how they can protect themselves from phishing scams, money, gift card scams, and third party seller scams.”
