Apple has just announced its next-generation Apple TV 4K.
It features the A15 Bionic chip to deliver faster performance and smoother gameplay with its CPU performance up to 50% faster and GPU performance up to 30% faster than its predecessor.
It also comes with HDR10+, 4K Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos support for an improved cinematic experience.
The new Apple TV 4K runs on tvOS 16 and features seamless integration with Apple’s own services such as Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and Apple Fitness+.
Apple TV 4K also comes with a new Siri / Apple TV Remote to help easily navigate the user interface of Apple TV while now adopting USB-C for charging.
Updates will also be coming to Siri on Apple TV to easily access any movie, show, music, or game using the remote. Users can also now say “Hey Siri” when wearing AirPods for hands-free control.
Other new features include iCloud Shared Photo Library coming to Apple TV to enjoy your favorite photos on the big screen and SharePlay to stay in sync with whoever you’re watching a movie with on FaceTime with shared playback controls.
The new Apple TV 4K can also be used as a home hub with it being capable of securely connecting and controlling smart home accessories such as HomeKit cameras, lights, and shades.
The new Apple TV 4K is available in two configurations:
- Apple TV 4K (Wi-Fi) w/ 64GB storage: PHP 9,490
- Apple TV 4K (Wi-Fi + Ethernet) w/ 128GB storage: PHP 10,990.
The Siri / Apple TV Remote is also available separately for PHP 3,990 and is compatible with Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD.
The local availability of the new Apple TV 4K is still yet to be revealed but it’s expected to be just right around the corner, so stay tuned.
