According to Samsung, the new ISOCELL HPX has a 0.56-micron pixel size for a reduced camera module size, Advanced DTI (Deep Trench Isolation) for better pixel isolation for boosted sensitivity, and Super QPD for improved autofocus.

The sensor can also adapt to different lighting scenarios. In a bright environment, it can use the whole 200MP resolution for sharper images. In low light, it will bin the pixels to 1.12 microns at a lower 50MP resolution, while in extreme low light, it will use 2.24 microns at 12.5MP. Furthermore, it supports 8K video recording at 30fps.

The Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor is expected to be used in Samsung’s next flagship smartphones.
