The Minnesota Wild have re-signed goaltender Filip Gustavsson to a three-year, $11.25M deal, the team announced Monday.
The deal will carry an AAV of $3.75 million and keep Gustavsson with the team through the 2025-26 season.
Gustavsson appeared in 39 games for the Wild last season and finished with a 22-9-7 record, which included three shutouts. The 25-year-old finished the 2022-23 season with both the NHL’s second-best goals-against average (2.10) and save percentage (.931), behind Boston’s Linus Ullmark.
The 25-year-old netminder also set career highs in games played, starts, wins and shutouts.
Gustavsson made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut this season in the Wild’s Round 1 series against the Dallas Stars. In his debut, he made a franchise record 51 saves, and finished the post-season with a 2.33 goals-against average and .921 save percentage.
The native of Skellefteå, Sweden, was acquired by the Wild on July 12, 2022 in a trade with the Ottawa Senators. Minnesota sent goaltender Cam Talbot back to Ottawa in exchange for Gustavsson.
