Oilers sign goaltender Olivier Rodrigue to one-year, two-way contract extension

The Edmonton Oilers have signed goaltender Olivier Rodrigue to a one-year, two-way contract extension through the 2024-25 season, the club announced Saturday.

The 23-year-old from Saguenay, Que., was selected by the Oilers in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.

Currently playing for the Oilers’ AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, Rodrigue has a 17-10-4 record over 32 games this season, along with a 2.72 goals-against average and .915 save percentage.

Initially making his professional debut during the 2020-2021 season, Rodrigue has appeared in 85 AHL games over four seasons, recording a 41-34-8 record, 2.83 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.

Rodrigue also had a 15-game stint in the ECHL during the 2021-2022 season. He has yet to make his NHL debut but has appeared in the pre-season with the Oilers.
