Report: Bears agree to three-year, $24.5M deal with RB D’Andre Swift

While the Chicago Bears decide what to do at quarterback, they are poised to add another key player to their offence.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday the Bears have agreed to a three-year, $24.5-million contract with free-agent running back D’Andre Swift. The deal includes $15.3 million in guaranteed money.

Players can not officially sign with new teams until Wednesday.

Swift, 25, rushed for a career-high 1,049 yard with the Philadelphia Eagles last season. He was acquired by the Eagles in a trade with the Detroit Lions, who picked the running back in the second round (35th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Bears own the first pick in this year’s draft and have to decide whether they’ll keep quarterback Justin Fields or use the pick to select another QB.
