The Skyway Stage 3 will be partially operational starting tomorrow.
As posted by Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar and San Miguel Corporation president and COO Ramon S. Ang on their Facebook pages, the NLEX-SLEX Skyway Connector Road, or simply known as Skyway Stage 3, will be partially opened starting December 29, 2020. The 17.93km elevated expressway stretches from Buendia, Makati City to the North Luzon Expressway in Balintawak, Quezon City. This links Southern and Northern Luzon.
Completed last October 2020, travel time from NLEX to SLEX will now only take 300 minutes, which previously takes around three hours. When traveling from Magallanes to Balintawak, it will only take about 15 minutes, while Balintawak to NAIA will take 15 minutes, and Valenzuela to Makati in just 10 minutes.
As a present to motorists, the Skyway Stage 3 will be free of charge for one month. It is expected to be fully operational by January 14, 2021.
The Skyway Stage 3 is a joint project among DPWH, Department of Transportation (DoTr), and San Miguel Corporation (SMC) under the Build Build Build program.
