The latest Samsung One UI 3.1 brings Wireless DeX on PC support to Galaxy flagship devices. This allows users to cast the DeX experience wirelessly from their smartphones to compatible PCs.
DeX is Samsung’s desktop-mode software that lets users turn their Galaxy S or Tab device into a portable PC. Previously, users may run DeX between their Galaxy device and a PC with a wired connection. However, this time, the latest One UI 3.1 update now enables wireless DeX support for more Galaxy mobile devices.
The Wireless DeX on PC feature is now available on all recent Galaxy flagship devices running under One UI 3.1. It is available on the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Fold, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Please note that users must install the Samsung DeX for PC app on their macOS or Windows 10 computer to run Wireless DeX on PC. Moreover, the compatible PC and the Galaxy device need to be connected over the same Wi-Fi network for the feature to function. To use Wireless DeX, go to Samsung DeX on the Galaxy device, and choose DeX on PC or DeX on TV or Monitor. Then, click Start now.
Make sure to update the smartphone to the latest version of One UI.
