Summary of advantages
Infinix ZERO X Pro:
• Slightly larger screen
• Higher refresh rate
• 240Hz touch sampling rate
• Bigger RAM
• UFS 2.2
• Higher main camera solution
• Telephoto camera
• Slightly larger battery w/ faster charging rate
OnePlus Nord N10 5G:
• Slightly higher display pixel count
• Corning Gorilla Glass 3
• Dedicated mono camera
• Dedicated depth camera
• 5G connectivity
• WiFi ac
• NFC
Display
The two devices feature large screens above 6-inches. However, the Infinix ZERO X Pro is slightly larger by 0.18-inch. Users won’t notice it, though, including their difference in pixel count as the OnePlus Nord N10 5G only has a 10ppi advantage.
What people will notice, though, is the refresh rate. The ZERO X Pro has a smoother 120Hz compared to the Nord N10 5G’s 90Hz. The former also has a 120Hz touch sampling rate and an AMOLED screen for deeper blacks and punchy colors, while the latter has IPS for more natural colors.
When it comes to protection, the Nord N10 5G has Gorilla Glass 3.
Chipset
Different chipsets power the two devices. The ZERO X Pro uses a 12nm MediaTek Helio G95 SoC with Mali-G76 GPU, while the Nord N10 5G has an 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 SoC with Adreno 619 GPU.
We’re yet to determine which device performs better until we have updated the benchmarks on both devices. However, Nanoreview says that the SD690 is more optimized for gaming and has a higher GPU frequency.
Memory and Storage
The ZERO X Pro already has the advantage on this part as it has 8GB of RAM (vs. 6GB), has a faster 128GB UFS 2.2 (vs. 128GB UFS 2.1), and a dedicated microSD card slot (vs. hybrid). This means that this phone will perform better when handling plenty of background processes, is faster in writing data for improved startup and cache loading, and offers more storage flexibility to users who use microSD cards.
Cameras
Both devices are versatile shooters. However, they differ in the number of cameras and resolution. The ZERO X Pro only has three cameras but has a high main camera resolution at 108MP (vs. 64MP) and a dedicated telephoto camera. The Nord N10 5G, on the other hand, has a dedicated mono and depth-sensing camera. Selfie-wise, both have 16MP front shooters. Take note, though, that these are just pixel count and doesn’t guarantee quality.
Connectivity
The Nord N10 5G wins this round for having more comprehensive connectivity features. It has 5G, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and support for multiple satnavs. Both have USB-C, dual speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, and fingerprint scanners, although they vary in placement.
Battery
The ZERO X Pro has a slightly bigger battery capacity at 4,500mAh (vs. 4,300mAh) and a faster charging rate at 45W (vs. 30W). We’ll know which one has the longest battery life once we’re done with our review of the ZERO X Pro.
Which one to get?
Both devices are priced at PHP 14,990 but offer different advantages. Suppose you prefer an AMOLED screen with a faster refresh rate, bigger RAM, faster storage, high main camera resolution, a telephoto camera, and a larger battery with faster charging. In that case, the ZERO X Pro is the one to get. But if you value better connectivity features like 5G and WiFi ac, more cameras, and Gorilla Glass 3, the Nord N10 5G is a good choice for the price.
