Paymaya adds a new feature in its app that allows commuters to purchase QR and other travel tickets on select public transportation options.
Commuters may now pay for their beep QR tickets for the BGC Bus in Taguig and the Topline Express Ferry routes in Cebu, avoiding them to queue in long lines in the stations. The beep QR ticket will be scanned at the station for validation before boarding. It has validity for 24 hours.
Here’s how to do it:
- Open the PayMaya app.
- Tap the “Travel” icon from the home page
- Choose route, origin, and destination from the list.
- Pay the ticket amount online from your PayMaya account.
- Wait to receive the beep QR ticket.
Commuters can also top up their beep cards for use in other transportation lines, such as LRT and MRT, through the PayMaya app under the Treat menu. They need to select a beep card load package, input their beep card number, confirm their purchase, wait for the notification, and tap their card on a beep e-load station to receive the load package.
PayMaya users may also top-up their EasyTrip or Autosweep
