Spotify has unveiled this year’s Spotify Wrapped. This includes the top artists, albums, songs, and podcasts that defined how 320 million people worldwide listened and discovered audio this 2020.
All Spotify users (premium or free) will be able to share their “2020 Wrapped” to other social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, or Snapchat. These are a summary of their top tracks, artists, and genre-based on their listening history.
This year, Pinoy artists are ruling on Spotify’s most-streamed lists as Ben&Ben dominates as the Philippines’ most-streamed artist of the year. The band’s LIMASAWA STREET is the country’s third most-streamed album of 2020. The band is followed by BTS, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and BLACKPINK. Together, they are considered as the top five most-streamed artists in the Philippines.
Philippines’ most-streamed song of 2020 is Magnus Haven’s “Imahe,” followed by Justin Bieber’s “Intentions,” Ben&Ben’s “Make It With You,” Matthaios’ “Catriona,” and the late artist Emman Nimedez’s “ Teka Lang.” The top local artists in the country, Ben&Ben, Moira Dela Torre, Matthaios, December Avenue, and Parokya Ni Edgar, made it to the top five.
For the first time, the Wrapped includes podcasts that feature homegrown podcasters and Spotify Exclusives Sleeping Pill with Inka, Adulting with Joyce Pring, and Boiling Waters PH, which are the top three Philippines’ most popular podcasts.
