City of Manila launches website for COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration

Manila’s local government unit has recently shared the guidelines of free registration and reservation of COVID-19 vaccines.

Mayor Isko Moreno encourages Manila residents to join the pre-registration process for the free vaccination for the COVID-19, aiming for a faster process once the vaccines have officially arrived. Moreno also ensures that the vaccines are safe and effective with certification from the Food and Drug Administration.

To fulfill the registration form, one must complete all the required personal details, including information about their recent health status. Follow the steps below.

1. Go to the Manila COVID-19 Vaccine website.
2. Click the “Register/Reserve” button.
3. Fill up the registration form, then click “Validate.”
4. Enter the OTP number that will be sent to you, then click “Register.”
5. Click the “I Agree” button on the Waiver Page and affix your signature.

According to the website, the free vaccines will be given to beneficiaries 2 dosages within four weeks apart. Do note that the human body will be immune weeks after receiving the vaccine. Those who get caught of the virus before or after the vaccination will still be affected by the COVID-19. There are also times that those who get vaccinated may still get sick with decreased symptoms of COVID-19.

Those who get vaccinated will be under monitoring. However, women must inform the Manila Health Department if they are pregnant, lactating mom, or planning for pregnancy.

You may visit the official Manila PIO Facebook page for more information.
