Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 now official

Samsung has announced its newest 2-in-1 Chromebook featuring the first-ever QLED display on a Chromebook, the Galaxy Chromebook 2.

The Galaxy Chromebook 2 sports a touchscreen 13.3-inch QLED FHD display. Powering the latest Chromebook is an Intel processor, along with Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) capabilities. Also, the Galaxy Chromebook 2 runs on Google’s Chrome OS and has built-in Google Assistant.

With its 2-in-1 form factor, this isn’t just a laptop: it’s a mobile theater, creative canvas, and smart notebook, all in one, as Samsung claims. Moreover, it comes with an all-new lattice keyboard with wider keycaps and bright backlighting. It also comes with stereo speakers with Smart AMP sound, which runs up to 178% louder than an average amplifier.

Additionally, this supports an optional universal Stylus Initiative (USI) pen. This is ideal for scribbling or drawing, with flawless 4,096 pressure sensitivity levels for perfect for note-taking or photo editing. Take note that the USI pen is sold separately.

The latest Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 will be available in two colors, Fiesta Red and Mercury Gray, for a starting price of USD 549.99.
