Display

All three phones have the same Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, which means you can expect great contrast with punchy colors as well as smooth animations and transitions. If that’s what you’re looking for in a smartphone, you can’t go wrong with any of them. What it comes down to, though, is the resolution and screen size. The S21 and S21+ both sport Full HD+ resolution, while the S21 Ultra has Quad HD+. If you like the smallest possible, the S21 is your best bet. The S21+ and S21 Ultra have bigger screens but only have a 0.1-inch difference, so you can go with either one if you want a larger screen.

Chipset, Memory, Storage

The same Exynos 2100 chip powers all three phones, so expect the same level of performance. When it comes to RAM, the S21 and S21+ have the same 8GB memory, whereas the S21 Ultra is at 12GB and 16GB. 8GB is good enough for most users and applications. But let’s say you’re the type who wants to run plenty of resource-heavy applications, the S21 Ultra will serve you well.

Storage-wise, the S21, and S21+ are offered with 256GB, which is more than enough for most users. But if you want a lower or higher storage capacity, better go with the S21 Ultra as it is offered in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.

Cameras

The S21 and S21+ have the same rear and front camera specs, so if you’re just a casual shooter, these two phones will be enough for most cases. However, if you’re serious about mobile photography and videography, the S21 Ultra boasts more camera sensors, higher resolutions, and more powerful zoom. It even has a whopping 40MP front camera if you really need those high-res selfies.

Connectivity and Features

All three phones are almost identical when it comes to connectivity features. All have 5G connectivity, new WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, in-display fingerprint scanner, AKG stereo speakers, and IP68 certification. What would make you go for the S21 Ultra, though, is its support for the S-Pen. If you want the latest Samsung smartphone with a stylus, you don’t have to wait for the Galaxy Note, go with the S21 Ultra instead.

Battery

For the batteries, all three support 25W fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. What’s different, though, are the capacities. The S21 has the lowest capacity at 4,000mAh, but still a decent capacity for a flagship phone. The S21+ comes second at 4,800mAh, while the S21 Ultra has the largest at 5,000mAh.

Price

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is priced at PHP 49,990, the Galaxy S21+ is priced at PHP 57,990, while the Galaxy S21 Ultra is at PHP 69,990 for the 12GB + 256GB and PHP 79,990 for the 16GB + 512GB.

Which one to get?

If your budget won’t go above PHP 50K, the S21 is your best bet. If you want a bigger screen and battery capacity and willing to spend an additional PHP 8K for the extra 0.5-inch and 800mAh capacity, you can go with the S21+. If budget is not a problem and you want the best phone that Samsung can provide at the moment, including a better screen, bigger memory, powerful cameras, S-Pen, and large battery, then go for the S21 Ultra.
