Shopee has recently launched its latest program for MSMEs, the Seller Education Hub. The program aims to support MSMEs in adapting Shopee’s digital platform and encourage them to embrace digital transactions.
The Shopee Seller Education Hub hosts modules on how to cultivate an online presence and boost sales. Under the program, sellers may take masterclasses about various e-commerce topics. The topics include running effective campaigns and growing the business, proper guidelines on handling return and refund requests, managing listing assets, boosting sales using available marketing tools, and creating awareness of the target market through activity and business insights.
Shopee also offers marketing tools under the Shopee Live that allows MSMEs to interact with their customers and answer real-time questions and inquiries regarding a product. It has a Mine feature where sellers may contact the first 10 customers who tap the Mine button during a live stream and reserve an item, a Poll feature for creating create engaging polls and knowing what products the customers want, and a Co-streaming feature for increasing engagement and inviting viewers for interaction.
Shopee’s in-app wallet, ShopeePay, also added more billers for faster online transactions. Users can now top-up RFID stickers and pay for NBI clearance applications, Smart mobile postpaid plans, Meralco electricity bills, Maynilad bills, and more.
The e-commerce platform also partnered with government agencies, such as regional and provincial DTI offices, in providing masterclasses to sellers. It also has joint initiatives with the government called CTRL + BIZ: Reboot Now!, a series of webinars where MSMEs can learn how to transform their businesses digitally.
The company also worked with partnered with foreign organizations such as USAID to provide more than 500 women entrepreneurs with integrated digital marketing training.
