Fitbit has officially launched the newest addition to the Charge series, the Fitbit Charge 5.
According to Fitbit, the Charge 5 sports a new color touchscreen that’s two times brighter than Charge 4 in daylight and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also comes with core features such as an EDA sensor to monitor and manage stress levels, an integrated electrocardiogram (ECG) app to assess normal and abnormal heart rhythms, and a new Daily Readiness Score to help optimize workout routines.
In addition, along with a free six-month trial of the Fitbit Premium subscription, it also features contactless payment, quick replies for notifications (Android only), built-in GPS, and 20 goal-setting exercise modes.
The Fitbit Charge 5 comes in three color-ways: Black/Graphite Stainless Steel, Lunar White/Soft Gold Stainless Steel, and Steel Blue/Platinum Stainless Steel. It is priced at USD 179.95, and it is now available for pre-order in the US via Fitbit’s official website, with expected shipment around late September.
