Xiaomi Redmi 10 vs. Infinix Note 10 Pro: Specs Comparison

Xiaomi recently unveiled the Redmi 10 and, as of writing, it is the only smartphone that sports the new MediaTek Helio G88 chipset. Given the specs, how would it fare against the Infinix Note 10 Pro with MediaTek Helio G95? Find out in the specs comparison below.

Display

Both smartphones sport an LCD of around 6-inches; however, the Infinix Note 10 Pro sports a slightly larger 6.95-inch screen, while the Xiaomi has a 6.5-inch screen. Both smartphones also support 90Hz refresh rates. However, Xiaomi has an AdaptiveSync feature, which allows the phone to automatically adjust the refresh rate depending on the application and to save battery. The Infinix Note 10 also has a 180Hz touch sampling rate, while Xiaomi is yet to declare the one on the Redmi 10. In terms of protection, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 sports Corning Gorilla Glass 3 while its competitor doesn’t, which is always an addition in our book for those who have a small tendency to mishandle their smartphone.

CPU and GPU

The Xiaomi Redmi 10 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88, the successor of the G85, and as for the GPU, it holds Mali-G52 MC2. On the other hand, the Infinix Note 10 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G95 and Mali-G76. There currently aren’t specific bench tests between the Helio G88 and the G95, however, since the G88 is the successor of the G85, it is expected to provide a better performance, maybe equal performance to that of the G95.

RAM and Storage

Both smartphones offer different configurations for RAM and storage—which is good for those who have a certain budget or preference. But for this category, Infinix Note 10 takes the cake for both RAM and Storage, offering higher 8GB RAM and 256GB storage compared to the Xiaomi Redmi 10’s 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Furthermore, the Infinix Note 10 has a dedicated microSD that can hold up to 2TB of storage which goes hand-in-hand with its UFS 2.2 support, offering faster sequential read and write speeds.

Camera

For the camera category, the Xiaomi has an inferior 50MP main lens compared to the 64MP lens of the Infinix Note 10. Both have the same 8MP ultra-wide camera, but the Xiaomi Redmi 10 has a dedicated 2MP lens for macro and depth, while the Infinix Note 10 has a dedicated 2MP lens for B&W and portrait. Note that these values do not properly represent the product in photos and performance; we will know which is better once we review both phones.

Connectivity & Other Features

As for connectivity, both support 4G LTE, dual nano-SIM, WiFi 5, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The difference that the Xiaomi Redmi 10 has over the Infinix Note 10 is its support for an updated Bluetooth 5.1, IR-Blaster, and access to A-GPS, Glonass, Galileo, and BDS navigation.

Battery

Finally, for the battery, both phones are equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, but the Infinix Note 10 has a faster charging rate of 33W compared to the 18W of the Xiaomi Redmi 10. But, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 has access to a 9W reverse wired charging, which comes in handy—so it receives a point for that. As mentioned before, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 has an AdaptiveSync for its refresh rate, so in regards to battery consumption, both devices may differ, especially on what kind of apps are being used. This will be clarified when we have both units tested.

Which one to get?

If you prefer a smartphone with an AdaptiveSync, updated Bluetooth 5.1, support for an IR-Blaster, Glonass, Galileo, BDS navigation, and 9W reverse charging, the light Xiaomi Redmi 10 is one to go for.

In terms of overall performance and specs, such as a larger display with a 180Hz touch sample rating, larger RAM and storage options, a dedicated microSD, and a faster charging rate. The Infinix Note 10 Pro is the smartphone to opt for, plus you get a higher main camera and front camera resolution.

As for the price, we can’t compare it yet since the Redmi 10 is yet to be available in the Philippines. The Infinix Note 10 Pro, however, is priced at PHP 9,990 for the 8GB + 128GB model. Xiaomi should really price the Redmi 10 competitively if it wants to be the more attractive option.
