A couple of months ago, Infinix unveiled two new mid-range smartphones, the Infinix Note 10 and the Infinix Note 10 Pro. both devices are almost identical when it comes to their design, but what sets them apart from each other is their internals. We finally got the chance to check out the more beefed-up Pro version which packs a Helio G90T chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and a 6.95-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. If you want to know our initial thoughts on this device, continue reading.
Right off the bat, the Infinix Note 10 Pro looks chic with its two-toned reflective design at the back. The unit we have is in the purple colorway, but it is also available in Black and Nordic Secret. However, this kind of finish can quickly attract fingerprints. Thankfully, there’s a free clear jelly case included in the box to remedy that.
From this side, you’ll find its quad rear cameras along with a quad-LED flash. Yes, you read that right–quad-LED flash. Then right below the module is an Infinix branding.
Situated on the left side, we have a SIM card slot for dual nano-sized SIM cards and a dedicated microSD card slot that supports a storage capacity of up to 2TB.
There’s the power/lock button on the right side that also doubles as a fingerprint scanner. You can also find here its volume rocker. The buttons are generally tactile and clicky, but the placing is a little too high for our licking making it hard to reach for users with small hands.
Nothing can be found at the top, while at the bottom are the speaker grilles, USB type-c port, primary microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Checking out its display, we have a 6.95-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 capable of producing 387ppi. There’s a hole-punch cut-out for the selfie camera at the center, while right above it is the earpiece which is also the secondary speaker. The display is equipped with a 90Hz refresh rate option and 180Hz touch sampling rate, so navigating through the UI feels smooth and responsive.
The Infinix Note 10 Pro runs on the latest Android 11 skinned with their own XOS v7.6. The UI is clean and minimalist but there are a few pre-installed apps but you can have those uninstalled you think it’s not that useful.
As for performance, powering the Infinix Note 10 Pro is a Helio G90T chipset, that’s coupled with an ARM G76 GPU. The unit we have has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. For the battery, we have a 5,000mAh capacity making this device last for a whole day of casual use. It does also support 33W fast charging.
When it comes to cameras, it’s got a quad setup consisting of a 64MP primary, an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP Black & White, and a 2MP portrait. For selfies, we have a 16MP camera. So far, we’re liking the image quality that these cameras are producing, and we’re excited to test it out in our full review, but for now, check out these sample shots that we have:
