WhatsApp developers are close to enabling chat import from Android to iOS devices, as discovered on the source code of WhatsApp beta version 22.2.74 for iOS.

Not a lot of information was provided but it seems to do the process wirelessly. Granted both devices have the new app version installed. Last year, WhatsApp enabled iOS to Android transfers using a USB-C to Lightning cable for Pixel phones running Android 12. It’s also available to Samsung devices running Android 12 via Smart Switch app and USB-C to Lightning cable.
As of now, no other information has been released about when the update will roll out. We’ll let you know once it’s released.
