realme DIZO Wireless Neckband Hands-On

In case you missed it, realme recently announced DIZO, which is the first brand under Realme’s TechLife ecosystem. Along with the number of products they introduced, one of which is this neckband earphones, the DIZO Wireless.

It does share a lot of similarities with the realme Buds Wireless 2 Neo, but with a more affordable price of PHP 999. If you’re considering buying this device, then keep on reading to know more.

Dizo Wireless 4

Featuring a slim and lightweight build, the DIZO Wireless has a 23.1g rubber-like body that you can always wear on your neck. Don’t worry about your sweat sticking to the band, since it’s IPX4 water-resistant. Plus, with its lightweight arc, it’s not much of a bother at all.

On the band itself, we can find some subtle left and right indicators. On the right stem are all the buttons, specifically the multi-function button just between the volume keys. Also found here are an LED indicator and the USB Type-C port.

Dizo Wireless 9

There’s nothing on the left stem except for an embedded DIZO branding. The unit we have is in the Black color, but it’s also available in Green and Orange.

Its magnetic in-ear buds are definitely light but don’t give a cheap impression at all. Each earbud has 2 microphones that have an Environment Noise Cancellation feature to reduce background noise during calls.

Dizo Wireless 5

Generally, they fit well in my ears, but if you can’t fit them easily in yours, then you can always change the rubber tips that come in different sizes.

Pairing the realme DIZO Wireless to your device is a breeze. Start by separating the two earbuds, then click on the multi-function button for 3 seconds. Then look for the DIZO Wireless label in your Bluetooth list and pair.

Although pairing the device is easy, its magnetic instant connection is faster and more convenient. Whenever you separate the buds apart, they’ll immediately connect to your smartphone. Then you can easily turn them off by magnetically clipping them back together. This is very convenient, plus it saves more battery life.

And since DIZO is a brand under realme, you can use the device with the realme Link app that’s available for Android devices. The app lets you tweak the sound effects to Bright, Balanced, and Bass Boost+. We prefer the Bass Boost+ mode more often.

Other than that, you can also turn on volume enhancer, auto-answer calls, and its Game mode that’s not to be mistaken as a noise-canceling feature. There’s no noise-canceling feature here, but the Game mode is best used for gaming because it will lower the latency within your phone so the DIZO Wireless can provide a lag-free experience. By the way, the app also allows you to change the button settings to the specific commands you prefer.

As for sound quality, similar to the Buds Wireless 2 Neo, the DIZO wireless packs an 11.2mm Bass Boost Driver. As a result, it does have highly noticeable bass that blends well with the highs and mids, and it can get really loud, so it’s perfect to use outdoors. However, expect the quality to be at the mid-tier level, making it reasonable for its price.

Dizo Wireless 2

When it comes to battery, it keeps a 150mAh capacity which the brand claims can last up to 17 hours of continuous use on a single charge. Moreover, a quick 10 minutes charge will offer up to 2 hours of music playback. You can charge it, of course, via a USB Type-C charger.

Dizo Wireless 12

The DIZO Wireless is now available with an SRP of PHP 999. It’s well-rounded and a lot handy for people who often lose a wireless earbud or even case. It’s not the best sound quality, but it does the job.
