While LG has discontinued manufacturing mobile phones last year, the South Korean multinational company has pledged to sustain software updates and support thereafter. It would be seen today with the Android 12 update for at least three LG phones, namely LG Q92 5G, LG V50 ThinQ, and LG V50s ThinQ.
In addition to this, LG Q52, LG Wing, and LG Velvet would be receiving security updates by the end of the quarter. Notably, the aforementioned updates would first reach devices in South Korea.
Meanwhile, Android 13 is expected to be rolled out with LG Wing and LG Velvet later in 2022. To recall, Android 13 has been previewed by Google earlier this year, and is reportedly working on making possible the assignment of two sim cards in a single e-sim through a feature called Multiple Enabled Profiles (MEP).
