DJI has announced its latest lightweight and portable camera drone called the DJI Mini 3 Pro, with 4K 60fps video recording, ActiveTrack, tri-directional obstacle sensing, and 90-degree gimbal rotation for vertical imaging for social media.
The DJI Mini 3 Pro weighs under 249 grams and keeps the same compact foldability found in the Mavic Mini, Mini 2, and Mini SE, but with enhanced flight performance, camera system, battery life, and intelligent features that were previously only available in the Air and Mavic series.
The Mini 3 Pro boasts a completely new structural design that brings several performance enhancements, which include more aerodynamic arms and propellers for increased flight time. It also features forward and backward dual-vision sensors at the very front of the drone, and a complete gimbal redesign for more camera angles.
Other features include a 1/1.3-inch CMOS camera sensor with dual native ISO and F1.7 aperture that can shoot 48MP images and 4K 60fps videos; HDR video recording; Full HD 120 fps video recording; digital video zoom; Tri-Directional Obstacle Sensing, consisting of forward, backward, and downward visual sensors with Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems (APAS) 4.0, which automatically detects and finds a safer path around obstacles during flight; FocusTrack for subject tracking; and a maximum flight time of 34 minutes.
DJI also is expanding its remote controller lineup with DJI RC, a lightweight remote controller with a 5.5-inch built-in touchscreen, and integrated DJI Fly so users don’t need to mount their smartphone to their controller.
The DJI Mini 3 Pro (no remote controller) retails for USD 669 and includes DJI Mini 3 Pro, and excludes any remote controller for those who already have a compatible model to control the drone.
The DJI Mini 3 Pro with DJI RC-N1 retails for USD 759, while the DJI Mini 3 Pro with DJI RC retails for USD 909. It is available for pre-order today from store.dji.com and most authorized retail partners with shipping starting by late May.
