NVIDIA RTX 40 Series GPUs may arrive as early Q3 2022

NVIDIA could soon unveil their anticipated RTX 40 series of graphics cards as early as third quarter of 2022.

The tip comes from acclaimed leaker @kopite7kimi via 3DCenter, suggesting that NVIDIA may release its new graphics lineup in July or August. Which is slightly earlier than what was suggested previously being set to release in September.

The NVIDIA RTX 40 series is said to be based on Ada architecture or codenamed “Ada Lovelace” by NVIDIA. With the RTX 4090, 4080, and 4070 set to debut initially.

The RTX 4090 would feature an AD102 GPU with Kopite7kimi claims that it will feature 24GB of GDDR6x memory at 21 Gbps and draw in up to 600W of power. We may see the RTX 4080 using an AD103 GPU with 16GB of GDDR6x VRAM while drawing up to 400W of power.

Lastly, the RTX 4070 is said to use an AD104 GPU with 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM while using 300W of power.

Naturally, take all these rumors with a grain of salt as we’ll only know once NVIDIA officially announces their new lineup of graphics cards. But what do you think of seeing the RTX 40 series release soon? Are you looking forward to getting one? Let us know your thoughts and comments down in the comments!
