Globe reports improved network experience w/ new upgraded LTE sites

Globe has announced that it has improved the network experience of customers with its new upgraded LTE sites across the country.

According to Globe, for the months of September and October 2021, they have built 195 new cell sites and upgraded 2,800 sites with LTE technology in 706 towns and cities across 81 provinces, benefiting nearly 1 million subscribers.

The telco also reported improved network experience in expanded and new sites, including top locations like Bulacan, Cavite, NCR second district, Cebu, and NCR fourth district. Of these customers, 75% are heavy data users who reported a maximum speed increase of at least 50% in video streaming, web browsing, and speed tests. The majority of these customers are using 4G LTE SIMs and devices.

“At Globe, we continue to strive to deliver the best digital experience for our customers, and we do not stop on our network build efforts, despite the difficulties of the pandemic,” said Marge Dizon, Globe Vice President for Program Delivery, Network Technical Group.
