Instagram has announced a new feature that allows users to bulk delete or achieve posts, stories, IGTV, and Reels.
Instagram announced that it has started testing a way for users to see and manage all of their activity on the app. They started testing this feature last year. The new feature is called “Your activity” and will start rolling out to all users. The “Your activity” section will allow users to bulk delete and archive their posts, stories, IGTV, and Reels as well as interactions such as comments, likes, and story sticker reactions. Additionally, users will be able to sort and filter their content and interactions by date and also be able to search for past comments, likes, and story replies from specific date ranges. The new feature is rolling out to all users starting today along with additional new account controls.
The company also announced a new feature that will alert a user when a post goes against the company’s Community Guidelines. Users will be able to see if any posts have been removed, and whether the users account is at risk of being disabled. Users though can appeal by clicking on the Request a Review button directly from the app. Users will also be allowed to report offensive content that they see on the app. Reporting on Instagram is anonymous and the person who posted the content will not know who reported it.
Additionally, the added features of the “Your activity” section includes the ability to find recently deleted or archived content. Users will also be able to check search history, and see links that have been deleted. Users will also be able to check their time spent on the app as well as allow users to download their information.
