Ookla has released the results of their Speedtest Global Index rankings for May 2022, showing median speeds of 19.26 Mbps for mobile and 60.09 Mbps for fixed broadband.
Going into detail, the mobile median download speed is 19.26 Mbps while the upload is at 5.46 Mbps, which is a slight deviation from the results in April, with 19.45 Mbps download and 5.52 Mbps upload.
Fixed broadband median download speed got a slight boost this month at 60.09 Mbps and an upload of 56.44 Mbps, compared to April’s 55.21 Mbps download and 52.10 Mbps upload.
In terms of global performance, mobile is at 30.37 Mbps while global fixed broadband is at 64.70 Mbps.
Norway now leads in mobile download speed at 129.40 Mbps, while Singapore still leads fixed broadband at 209.21 Mbps.
