To encourage more people to stay at home, Facebook will now allow Facebook Dating users to set up a virtual date through Messenger. As an alternative to face-to-face dates, the virtual date feature encourages users to explore potential connections with their matches.
The new feature will let people invite, contact, and make a video call on their matches via Messenger. Upon sending the invitation, the other party can either accept or ignore the invite. Should they accept the invitation, it will be redirected on a video call powered by Messenger.
Facebook has not disclosed more details about the feature, but users could expect to enjoy it in the coming next months.
