Anti-malware software Malwarebytes announces its own virtual private network (VPN) for desktop running on Windows. Dubbed as Malwarebytes Privacy, it features a smart and simple UI for seamless use.
As the first offering in its suite of privacy software, the Malwarebytes Privacy employs WireGuard VPN protocol, which is faster than traditional ones. It keeps lag at bay and prevents unauthorized tracking of your online activity by assigning a virtual IP address. For a more secure connection, the VPN software uses 256-bit AES encryption. Currently, it offers over 180 servers in more than 30 countries, which provides more options to users in finding the fastest server for their needs.
The VPN service is available as a yearly subscription for USD 59.99 or as part of the Malwarebytes Premium yearly security bundle for USD 89.99. It can be used on up to five devices and is only accessible on Windows laptops and PCs. However, the company shared that it plans to roll out the VPN service on iOS, Mac, Android, and Chrome soon.
