If there’s anything we can appreciate in the highly saturated smartphone market, it’s a great camera packed in an all-in-one device. And, Infinix’s new flagship, the Infinix Zero X Pro, might just be one to look out for.
Sporting a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset, it is a stand-out of its own. But, combined with an impressive 108MP main shooter, 60X periscope zoom, and Infinix’s own Galileo Algorithm Engine, this flagship smartphone promises a “one-of-a-kind camera experience” for its users.
But, with all that said, is it worth the upgrade? Luckily, we got the chance to get our hands on the Infinix Zero X Pro. So, let’s take a closer look.
If there’s anything that stands out about the Infinix Zero X Pro at first glance, it’s the design. It features a glossy black panel that’s inlaid with glitters, resembling a cool evening studded with stars. This, of course, goes hand-in-hand with Infinix’s tagline, “Moon photography made simple with ZERO X series’ 60X zoom” – and aptly, so.
At the back, it sports triple rear cameras and a flash in a rectangular module located at the left side with the Infinix logo situated on the other end.
Upfront, we get a circular notch for the selfie camera and a generous 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a very minimal screen-to-bezel ratio.
Located on the right side are the volume rocker keys and power button.
On the left sits the sim card and microSD tray.
At the bottom, we get a downward-firing speaker, TYPE-C port, microphone, and 3.5mm audio jack.
For display, the Infinix Zero X Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It delivers very dynamic and vibrant colors with an impressively bright screen, maxed at 700 nits, which makes it highly legible even in broad daylight. As for bezels, Infinix didn’t skimp on display as the bezels are very thin and almost unnoticeable at first glance.
Under the hood, we get a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and 4,500mAh of battery with 45W fast charging. It is also capable of 1TB storage expansion via microSD. For OS, it features XOS Dolphin V7.6, which is based on Android 11.
Moving onto the Infinix Zero X Pro’s best feature, it sports a triple rear camera set-up consisting of a 108MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP Moonshot periscope telephoto camera that is capable of 60X zoom, which claims to hold enough power to zoom into the moon. As to whether it can capture the moon in full clarity, we’ll have to leave it to the sample photos.
Complete with its eye-catching galaxy-themed back panel, impressive quad-camera configuration, and superfluid 6.67-inch display, Infinix’s new flagship is something to watch out for. And, from what we have seen, it might just be the next flagship on every smartphone photography enthusiasts’ list.
The local pricing and the availability are yet to be announced, so stay tuned.
