OPPO has unveiled the latest addition to its smartwatch lineup in China, the OPPO Watch Free.
The OPPO Watch Free is a fitness tracker that is equipped with a 1.64-inch AMOLED display. The watch also has a heart-rate monitor that works with different kinds of cardio activities such as running, walking, using an elliptical machine, and rowing, these allow the user to check on their cardiac activity through the smartwatch.
The smartwatch also has a sports tracker compatible with 100 different types of sports for easier monitoring. In addition, the Watch Free also features stress and sleep tracking.
The OPPO Watch Free is built with Bluetooth 5.0 and is 5ATM waterproof resistant, which means users can take the smartwatch to a depth of up to 50 meters. OPPO has said that it can also track the laps and pace of users who use it to swim. The smartwatch has an eSports mode which diverts all notifications from your smartphone to the smartwatch when activated. It also includes NFC for contactless payments (for the NFC-enabled model).
Moreover, OPPO Watch Free is geared with a 230mAh battery. The brand claims that the Watch Free comes with 14-day battery life, and 5 minutes of charging will allow users to run the watch for an entire day.
The OPPO Watch Free is priced at CNY 599 for the NFC-enabled version and CNY 549 for the regular non-NFC model. There’s no word yet about its international release, so stay tuned.
