Xiaomi has unveiled two Redmi G 2021 gaming laptops: one with an Intel processor and one with an AMD processor. The Intel version is powered by an Intel Core i5-11260H (Tiger Lake) paired with a GeForce RTX 3050 GPU. On the other hand, the AMD version is equipped with a Ryzen 5800H with a GeForce RTX 3060 GPU.
Both laptops are equipped with 16.1-inch displays with up to 144Hz refresh rate. In addition, both laptop versions have the same memory configuration: 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage.
Moreover, the Redmi G 2021 comes with a full size-keyboard with three-level backlighting. The laptop also supports WiFi 6, Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, and DTS: X Ultra Sound. What’s more, the gaming laptop is also geared with an upgraded Hurricane Cooling 3.0 system with two 12V fans and five all-copper heat pipes for ousting heat.
Lastly, the Redmi G 2021 is equipped with a 55WHr battery. The Intel-powered Redmi G (2021) comes with a 180W power adapter, while the AMD model has a 230W power adapter for charging.
The Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop with an Intel Core i5 is priced at CNY 5,699, while the one with the AMD Ryzen 5800H is priced at CNY 6,999. The Intel variant will go on sale starting September 23, while the AMD model will be available from September 28 in China. However, there’s no word about its availability outside China.
