Both realme and Infinix have recently brought their latest budget smartphones to the Philippines, the realme narzo 50A and the Infinix HOT 11S. Priced under PHP 7K-8K, both smartphones come with a MediaTek Helio SoC, triple rear cameras, and large batteries. But, which of these is best to get? Let’s find out in a specs comparison.

Display
Both the realme narzo 50A and the Infinix Hot 11S sport a large display at over 6-inch IPS LCD. However, if we get into the technical details, the HOT 11S is noted to have a slightly larger screen at 6.78-inches compared to the narzo 50A’s 6.5-inch. Further, most of the advantages also go to the HOT 11S with its FHD+ display with a smoother 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.
Processor
Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by a MediaTek Helio SoC. There’s a Helio G85 on the realme narzo 50A and Helio G88 on the Infinix HOT 11S. Both also have Mali-G52 MC2 GPU.

The results show that the Infinix HOT 11S slightly outperforms the realme narzo 50A.
RAM & Storage
The narzo 50A comes with 4GB of RAM, while the HOT 11S is available in two options: 4GB or 6GB. For the storage, the former only has 64GB, while the latter has up to 128GB. Both smartphones, however, have a dedicated microSD slot for storage expansion without sacrificing their dual-SIM capabilities.
Cameras
Talking about the cameras, these smartphones are alike. The two are equipped with triple rear cameras with a 50MP main shooter. However, completing the narzo 50A’s cameras are its 2MP depth and 2MP macro sensors. On the other hand, the HOT 11S has a 2MP depth sensor along with an AI lens. Check out the sample shots below.

Connectivity & Other Features
The two devices have 4G, Dual-SIM (nano), WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, SatNavs, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB-C. Both also have rear-mounted fingerprint scanners. Moreover, for the software, both are running on Android 11 using their own custom skins.
Battery
Both smartphones have large batteries. The narzo 50A got an advantage for having a whopping 6,000mAh battery vs. the HOT 11S’ 5,000mAh. Both, however, have 18W fast charging support.
In our standard video loop test (which entails the device running a 1080p video on loop, airplane mode turned on, headphones plugged in, with 50% brightness), the realme narzo 50A got a total playback time of 28 hours and 52 minutes, while the Infinix HOT 11S yielded 12 hours and 14 minutes.
Price
The realme narzo 50A (4GB + 64GB) is priced at PHP 7,990, whereas the Infinix HOT 11S retails at PHP 6,990 for 4GB + 64GB and PHP 7,990 for 6GB +128GB.
Which one to get?
For PHP 7,990, the Infinix HOT 11S is a better deal considering that you’ll get the advantage of a better display, slightly better performance, as well as larger RAM and storage configuration. However, if you are looking for a budget smartphone with a more solid battery, then it’s great to go for the realme narzo 50A.
