This means that a 500 peso transfer, 5 pesos will be deducted for the cash-in fee. Another example: 10 pesos fee for a 1000 peso transfer, and so on. The fee gets higher based on the amount the user would like to cash-in.

Despite the rollout, users may still enjoy free cash-ins through their linked bank accounts that include Shopee’s verified banking partners BDO, Metrobank, and Chinabank, as well as through banking apps with InstaPay.

To get around the cash-in fee using linked bank accounts, tap on the ‘ShopeePay Balance’ icon on the homepage, tap ‘Cash In’ and from there choose a bank partner then follow remaining instructions.
