Lenovo announces Legion 7i, Y740Si, with Intel Core i9 processors and color-accurate displays

Lenovo has announced its upcoming top-of-the-line gaming laptop and an ultrabook powered by an H-series processor, the Legion 7i, and Legion Y740Si.

The Lenovo Legion 7i features a 15-inch Full HD display with 100%Adobe sRGB coverage, VESA Display HDR 400 support, running at 240Hz with a 1ms response time. Under the hood, it sports a 10th Generation Intel Core i9 H-series processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super GPU, paired with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. An 80 Whr battery powers Lenovo Legion 7i, capable of lasting up to 8 hours. The new Rapid Charge Pro feature allows users to charge the laptop to 50% in under 30 minutes.

Those looking to get a thin and light laptop with a high-resolution display may look into Lenovo’s Legion Y740Si. Weighing at just 1.7Kg, the Y740Si  features a 15-inch 4K IPS display with  100% RGB coverage, VESA DisplayHDR 400, and Dolby Vision. The Legion Y740Si runs on Intel’s 10th Generation Core i9 H processor, paired with up to 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.

If users are looking to play games or accelerate software, they could connect the Legion Y740Si to the Lenovo Legion BoostStation, Lenovo’s external GPU solution.

The Lenovo Legion 7i will be available starting May 2020, with a starting price of USD 1,599.99. Meanwhile, the Lenovo Legion Y740Si and Legion BoostStation eGPU will be available beginning May 2020 for a starting price of USD 1,199.99 and USD 249.99, respectively. Customers will have the option to bundle the Legion BoostStation with either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700XT.
