Xiaomi Redmi 8A Pro launches in Indonesia

Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi drops another budget smartphone, the Redmi 8A Pro.

As a rebranded version of the previously launched Redmi 8A Dual, it comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a Dot Drop notch and a massive 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18 W charging. It boasts an X-line cover back design with a nano-resistant splash coating which makes it prone to fingerprint marks. Powering the device is an octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 439 processor which allows smooth multitasking, comes with support for Google Lens in scanning and translating objects into different languages, and 13 MP + 2 MP dual rear cameras. It has an 8 MP front-facing camera for taking selfies and runs on MIUI 11 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

The Realme 8A Pro is currently available in Indonesia for IDR 1,549,000 for the 2GB + 32GB variant, and IDR 1,649,000 for the 3GB + 32GB variant. Local availability and pricing are yet to be confirmed.
