ABS-CBN content and where to watch them online

Three days ago, ABS-CBN received a cease and desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission. Due to the network’s expiration of a 25-year-long franchise, ABS-CBN’s broadcast operations in television and radio nationwide are put into a halt. According to R.A, 3846, also known as the Radio Control Law, TV and radio stations are required to have a congressional franchise before it goes on air.

To simplify the order’s content, NTC restricts only the television and radio broadcasting services of the ABS-CBN. This exempts other units and subsidiaries of the network, including its digital assets in entertainment, sports, and news.

Exemptions

Cable channels such as CinemaOne, CineMo!, Mxy, Jeepney TV, Knowledge Channel, Yey!, O Shopping, ANC, and TeleRadyo,  including local and international cable subscription service Sky, Sky on Demand, and TFC can still operate as the said services do not require congressional franchises.

That being said, ABS-CBN, through its interactive media platforms, can deliver their content online.
