Dell introduces 2020 XPS 15 and XPS 17

Dell has introduced this year’s XPS laptops, the XPS 15 and XPS 17.

After almost a decade, Dell is reintroducing the XPS 17. Under the hood, it sports a 10th Generation Intel Core Processor and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. Its airflow and cooling system has also been redesigned to help maintain performance in demanding projects.

The XPS 15 has also been redesigned, now using a wider 16:10 display and updated top-firing speakers. It’s now powered by Intel’s 10th Generation Core Processors, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti, and a battery rated for 25 hours.

Both laptops feature Dell’s 4-sided InfinityEdge color-accurate displays with 4K UHD options and Eyesafe display technology.

The top-mounted mics have been upgraded with advanced echo cancellation and noise reduction technologies. The Windows Hello compliant fingerprint scanner is built into the power button too.

Audio-wise, the 2020 XPS laptops feature Waves Nx Audio, tuned by Jack Joseph Puig. When using headphones, Waves Nx technology can track your head movements to align directional sound to your visual point of view.

The Dell XPS 15 will be available in the US, Canada, and select European and Asian countries throughout the week. The XPS 17, on the other hand, will be available in the US, Canada, and select European and Asian countries this summer. The laptops are offered at a starting price of:

  • XPS 15 – USD 1,299.99
  • XPS 17 – USD 1,499.99

Stay tuned for details on local pricing and availability.
