iQOO announces Z1 with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset

iQOO has announced the first the Dimensity 1000+ based smartphone, the iQOO Z1.

The iQOO Z1 features a 6.57-inch Full HD+ display running at 144Hz and covers 96% of the NTSC gamut. It’s the first smartphone to ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.1.

There are three cameras on the rear: a 48MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2 MP macro shooter. The selfie camera has a 16MP resolution, sitting in a punch-hole cutout in the upper right of the display.

It supports dual nano-SIMs, running on iQOO UI based on Android 10 out of the box. Powering the device is a 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast-charge support.

The iQOO Z1 is priced as follows:

• iQOO Z1 6GB + 128GB – CNY 2,198
• iQOO Z1 8GB + 128GB – CNY 2,498
• iQOO Z1 8GB + 256GB – CNY 2,798

iQOO is also offering several accessories for the Z1, including a cover (CNY 39), Bluetooth controller (CNY 159), and neckband wireless earphones (CNY269). They’re now accepting pre-orders through Vivo’s official China site, with official sales starting from June 1.
