Lalamove and QC gov’t launches Lalajeep

Lalamove, in partnership with the Quezon City local government, launches Lalajeep. The vehicle aims to deliver essential goods for the residents in the city.

The partnership aims to provide delivery services to medium and small enterprises with customers residing in Quezon City. This also gives a source of income to jeepney drivers who were affected by the suspension of public transportation due to the community quarantine.

Dannah Majarocon, the managing director of Lalamove Philippines, signs the contract alongside Mayor Joy Belmonte-Alimurung to officially launch the Lalajeep project on an e-signing ceremony

As part of preparations for the new service, Lalajeep drivers have undergone training with the local government of Quezon City. As of writing, the fleet has 200 drivers ready for deployment.

Exclusively available in Quezon City from June 15 to August 15, 2020, customers may book the services through the Lalamove mobile app. Do note that Lalajeep’s cargo capacity falls between the motorcycle and the 300kg delivery services.
